This article provides a comprehensive examination of the key aspects and challenges of sustainable development in the regions of the Kyrgyz Republic within the context of ongoing socioeconomic transformations. The study analyzes institutional, economic, environmental, and social determinants that shape the sustainability of regional development. Particular attention is devoted to spatial disparities, infrastructure constraints, and institutional inconsistencies that hinder balanced territorial growth. Based on the findings, the article outlines strategic directions for enhancing regional policy in accordance with the principles of sustainability and effective regional governance.
